Content Guidelines

Page Frights invites you to share spooky books and images from your library collections on your own social media feeds using the campaign hashtag #PageFrights. We invite you to embrace a broad interpretation of “spooky” in selecting content to share for the campaign.

Content that is posted as part of the campaign should not include material that is off-topic, presents sensitive historic material in an inappropriate or significantly uncontextualized manner, is partisan-political, contains personal attacks or expletives, or is otherwise abusive, threatening, unlawful, harassing, discriminatory, libelous, obscene, false, pornographic, or that infringes on the rights of any third party. Only post that content is yours, is copyright free, or for which you have received permission from the person or entity that owns the content and the related intellectual property rights.

The social media hashtag feeds will be aggregated on the campaign website www.pagefrights.org. Additionally, institutions may independently create content and organize events related to the campaign. Some of this content, such as pumpkin carving patterns, may be made available on www.pagefrights.org. The feeds and content available on the website will be moderated by campaign organizers at #PageFrights Lead Institutions. The organizers reserve the right to decline a submission or suppress posts from related feeds published through the website that they determine are a violation of the above content guidelines.
